International 300 distributor drive

What kind of lube should be used in the distributor drive on an IH 300? (The casting between the distributor and hyd. pump) Also, should there be some sort of seal in the tach drive? I originally tried motor oil in the drive and it leaked out thru the tach drive. I took it apart and it doesnt have any type of seal in it now. Thanks in advance.
