Same thing happened to me with my old H. Darned rear end oil was like tar. Changed it and here comes the leak.

Before you go to all the trouble of tearing the tractor apart, crawl under there with your end wrench and tighten up all those housing bolts. Bet they have worked loose over the years.

80/90 is so thick that it takes a heck of a leak for it to pass. If that gasket is still in place, bet you can save it by just tightening the bolts.
