I vote with the other two responders. Disassemble the engine and take all the parts to a machine shop (one that is familiar with tractor engines, if possible). Be sure to take all the bolts with you so they can get "hot tanked" right along with the block and head. This will clean out all of the passages in the block/head of built up crud, including the water passages. Make sure the block and head are checked for cracks, usually by MagnaFluxing. Be prepared to go looking for a new head or block, as they do crack over 50 years of use and abuse. The crank should be checked for wear and roundness of all journals and possibly straightness. Have the machine shop install new cam bearings, they can do it much easier than you can. You may also want the shop to reassemble everything for you if you aren't comfortable using precision measuring tools and plastigauge to check rod and main bearing clearances. Last, but not least, keep asking questions here on this forum. If you run into problems, there is always someone here that has "been there, done that" before and they are usually willing to help out. Phil
