Well your hitch pump has nothing to do with your problem . If any pump is bad it is the MCV pump . But before ya start tearing things apart there are things to check first . you could have a sticking flow divider broken pressure reg. spring blowen o/rings , blown MCV gskt. or low pump volume . Does your oil tel-tale lite work in the dash??? if not fix it . Now if you are not a real good mechanic then getting into the MCV is not for you as things have to be to spec. and ya need some special hyd. fittings and a good hyd pressure gauge , also a flowrater is a real big help . So to save time and money best to take it to a real good mechanic on this one you will be money ahead. Now if you were close i would have no problem checking it out.
