Brownie, that makes sense. If loads are more direct connected to the VR (the L terminal) versus their current having to pass through the cutout relay, some of the gennys output current can go direct to the load and the only amount having to pass through the cutout relay to charge the battery is whats really needed, thereby they could regulate a bit more precisely and NOT overcharge the batery like could happen with a 3 pole VR when the lights are on which puts them in more of the max charge state. I need to get and study an internal 4 pole VR wiring diagram then we can settle this matter Fun discussion, yall take care n God Bless John T
