Lack of power - Farmall 300

The tractor starts fine and runs well, that is, until it warms up and is under load. Good power for about 10-15 minutes under load (disking) but then slowly looses power. RPMs slowly decrease until I have to stop. RPMs shoot right back up when clutch disengaged and engine is very responsive to movement of hand throttle but will have no power when clutch re-engaged. Sometimes I can keep going in the next lower gear but even this does not always work. Advice/ideas would be apreciated. Thanks Steve.
