After reading posts I went back out and fired it up with the cap off the regulator. Held a screwdriver across the points of the relay and it charged again. Take them off and charging stopped. Was so ticked off just held it on there for about 30 sec solid while my dad watched the ammeter telling me it was charging. When I removed the screwdriver was surprised to hear him say it was still charging. Checked voltage at battery and was 7 bolts. I have no idea what happened. I'm going to try using it this afternoon and wanted to say thanks for all of your help and support. I appreciate it VERY much and couldn't have done it without help. Bob
