Re: 300 Transmission Noise

If bearings and gear teeth are in good shape a few other things to check comes to mind. The reverse idler shaft and bushings, fork out of whack and letting gears rub togeather,if thats the case noise should stop when tractor drives in the gear. Don't know if T/A was removed,if not the nut that holds T/A clutch carrier may have backed off or T/A clutch has some parts bad.
