Ed, I think you are allowing yourself to be overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams and existing harnesses. Stop. Take a deep breath. Farmall letter series wiring is really pretty simple. A couple of wires to the generator/alternator. A couple of wires to the lights. A wire to the distributor/magneto. A wire to the starter. That"s about it. Take it one system/harness at a time. I"ve seen some Farmalls that have been patch-wired over the years without removing the dead wires that look like a wiring nightmare. You might just be better off snatching all the old wiring off and starting from scratch. At least that way you can rely on color coding to know what"s running where. Good luck!
