I did it on a 504 Row Crop by installing a Charlynn on the stub that comes out of the bolster. If was fifteen years ago so I am a little vague on it. I am sure there was a coupling and bracket that I had to fabricate. The steering can get a little sloppy on a well used tractor with all the cheap IH U-joints. I remember replacing those. I can't remember where the pressure came from but I did use a Prince proportioning valve. I added a Farmall C hydraulic pump on the motor but it was used for something else. It probably has enough volume to run a Charlynn. The frame rail has to be notched 1/4" for clearance. My installation was not like anything IH built. They are two different systems. One for the RC and another for the utility. IH has a very good 504 Power Steering shop manual that includes both. You might get lucky and find a salvage yard that can sell you a complete IH system. I think it even includes an oil cooler. If you want to travel to Tewksbury, MA. You can look at mine.
