I did it by purchasing the power steering assy off of a junk 504. You need to add the oil cooler and make sure you get the propper splined shaft coming out of the steering pump under the dash. I found they don't interchange. The pump will need to be added to the rear of the existing hydrolic pump too. The return may have to be drilled and tapped under the seat.
It is not difficult (I did it and I spend life in a pretty stupid condition). I recommend a propper parts book and IH maintenence manual. Jeff Forman of IN was a big help to me. He knows his 504s and geerally has parts.
