300U hyd question.

A friend of mine is useing my NH 45,46,47 sickle mower but it has a single acting cylinder and its not work on his 300U Is there a way to use it or do I just brake down and put the double acting cylinder on it?? I worked good, I know its green but any how it worked well on my Oliver 77 but I think the hyd system on the farmals is differant then one the Olivers.
