KB Some guys on here aren't going to want to here this butttttt. Can you get it all lined up where it belongs put the bolt in and weld the couplers. Shaft is already shot so you can't hurt it and if you ever have to remove it you just use a differant type of wrench to remove it."a torch" The steer arms on wide fronts have wallered out before and rather than spend the money for new arms and spindles the farmers would have us weld them at the weld shop. We would put in new thrust bearings and bushings before welding so it didn't have to come back to cut off to replace those right away. Now they manufacture under sized steer arms for them. Never came loose or broke a welded one. Maybe theres no room for weld, I'm not familiar with the amount of clearance you have. Gary
