Joe: No oil will run out when you remove the final drives. You may have a bit of leaking if your transmission-rear end axle seals are bad. If that is case your probably already getting oil dripping out around top of final drive, on the inside as opposed to wheel side.

Be extra careful removing the left final drive, tractor is rather unstable with that side jacked and final drive is off. Even the right side requires care. I like to drive tractor so opposire wheel has a buildng post beside it and chain top of that wheel to the post. This will stop tractor from going sideways on jack. Another trick I do is put wood wedges in front axle pivot. These items just allow you to work with a bit of confidence tractor will stay put.
