We have owned a 3688 on the farm for 15 years. In the 15 years we have replaced the Tourque Amplifier, and the fan belts, and no the fan belts are not hard to change. As for the smoke coming out the blowby pipe, ours too is bad, but it was also bad at 800 hrs, when we bought it, it now has over 4000, and we haven't touched the motor. This tractor gets outstanding Fuel Ecconomy. It gets better then our Massey 390-T with a four cylinder. I believe you can get cab interior kits. All in all i believe they are a great tractor.
