Run the engine WOT (wide open throttle) and re-adjust the high speed mixture screw for smoothest running then add 1/2 turn out for a little extra power.
Repeat for the idle mixture at idle speed (turn in 1/16 or so for better acceleration) and then repeat the process with both screws.
1 1/2 turns doesn"t mean diddly except to have a starting point; readjust as needed from there.
Differing float levels, cleanliness, etc. will call for different adjustments on the mixture screws.
