The correct valve set is .017 HOT , now the way i do them is with each hole at TDC following the fireing order 1342 . For the comp. check remove all spark plugs with the throttel wide open crank the engine over for four hits of that cylinder and write it down and go to the next when done avg. them out and see what ya have if it is more then 10-15 % differance then she need some work either valves or a rebuild .
