Need Some Advice on a Proper Plow

I recently bought a nice little Farmall H with a 3-pt and want to plow my fire-breaks with it. I'm not sure how much weight (width?) it can handle with an offset, tandem, cultivator or? and am having sort of a problem locating a piece. I have a good 5-ft offset I used behind a Ford. Is it possible to "extend" that out to around 8 foot wide for the "H"? Thanks in advance for anyone helpin' me out with this.
