well if your going to tinker on this tractor then i would get and I T manual for it . Change hyd. oil and filter . Then set down and read over the hyd section and check and adjust everything by the book. also having a hyd. pressure gauge and testing the hyd. system pressure then you sorta know if the system is up to spec. or not . The only way to tell if the pump is putting out the correct flow is have it flow rated by someone that has the equipment for this . But with the gauge it will tell ya if the system is comming up on pressure and you may luck out and only have to replace a pressure reg. spring . Myself i like to flow rate the pump first and see if i have the flow and pressure before getting into the pressure reg. valve .
