Paw Paw's Cub

Hey everyone Hope some one can help me out a little. Long story short, My grandpaw just passed and he left me and my sons an old Cub. Iknow a little about Fords and even less about Farmall. The tractor had acouple of stuck valves but we got her running. The question I have today is what type of lubercant goes in the rear axle and how do you get the water out(you should have seen the engine oil) The rear end seems to whine a lot. Is this something to worry about?
