Last time I checked FFA and 4H weren't judged against each other. Did any of the tractors get advanced to State Fair? Also the story or project paper work are very important. When I was in school I took a different tractor to FFA comp at State fair (was open and anyone in FFA could come). Always placed at the bottom. Had a couple of times that all the people that I knew that saw the offerings said I got hosed. Thing was my paperwork was a little lacking. Also the Advisor that usually had the majority tractors entered also set up the judging. Worst part was when I pick up at the official release time as I was supposed to they were long gone. Little did he know I was connected with the State advisor. Old man turned them in after I was done and couldn't enter anymore. Guess he was less than happy I think they had to give back their premiums for that year (boo hoo). All this being said be happy with your tractor. If you want to the quality of the work will improve with time and you can take personal satisfaction in a job well done. This is why I am not really in favor of Judging at the hobby shows. Same thing has ruined the old car hobby. Just chock this one up to life experience jt
