If the disc brakes are anything like a Super C's brakes, well I may offer one nugget of wisdom. I took my father's Super C's brakes apart and replaced the disc pads, all looked good. After trying the brakes, one side locked up and wouldn't release. After many other attempts to correct the problem, itr turned out that I had mistakenly "flipped" the ball-groove-expander assembly. By that I mean if you take that assembly off and re-install it where top is bottom and vice versa. Hope this helps. Let us know what you found. Best regards, Dennis.
