No, this is a special application for the LA and LB series engines. Most had a belt pulley and a few had chain sprockets on them for running miscellanous driven implments. The LAA was a 1-11/2hp engine the LAB was a 3-5hp, then in later years they made an LBA it was a 1-11/2hp engine and the LBB was the 3-5hp engine. They are not a hit n miss type igntion, they are a throttle governed engine. If you are planning on doing anything with it, you can get a lot of info from hitnmiss enterprises, they have books and parts for them.
