I have a mid 40"s A that just this spring I rewired! In the last 2 weeks it started acting strange like it was low on amps, and the gauge shows good charge while running! So all the sudden it would"nt start off the starter and had to hand crank it! took the 6vt batt. got it charged, still nothing! started cleaning connections, and would"nt you know it the last ones cleaned was the problem, ( replacement terminal ends at the batt.) you have lead then copped then steel clamp! need to remember to add a slice of copper or lead above the wire, and avoid all the corrosion!!!!!!! sorry for the long post!!!!!!!!
