You probably need that screw out. An impact screwdriver will do it. NAPA and snapon, Mac all have them. The leak is probably an air leak in the intake to the pump (larger line) if so it needs to be repaired before fixing the prime. (don't run it dry, it will die). The screen under the seat/differential cover may be plugged up as well. Good luck, JimN
