Well , now this is not that hard of a job here to pull the dist out and set it in a vice to wok on it if you know how to get it back in close enough to get it to run again to reset the timeing . Pull it out and stick it in a vice and remove the three screwws that hole th points plate in and lift it out and look at the two flyweights and the two littel springs and if pices and parts are either broken or missing replace them with Org. parts , look for ware and make sure that the upper part of the shaft moves free a bit as this is suppose to move . Now if you look in the end of the shaft where the rotor sets on there is a small pice of felt in there every sooften one should remove this and place a couple drops of oil in there to lube the shaft Now if this is froze up this could be your problem . It is nice to have a Dist. Strobe to run it and check the advance on a machine as this way ya know what it is doing before it goes on the tractor . Now if the dist. is not doing it's job like it should then this brings on other problems like fouling of plugs late timeing poor performance higher fuel consumption . Now with out running out to the truck and getting my books out i'll let you do the checking on this but you now know where to start . To bad your not close to me or i would come out .

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
