I recall my dad plowing some pasture ground. He hooked our M and MTA in series just to pull a 3 bottom plow. I was real little but I still remember both tractors really working hard. I know later we would break up alfalfa. I don't remember how we did that, probably also with a plow. We had bigger tractors, an 806 and 1066 so it wasn't as big as issue. I think I would try Round-Up and try to no till. I assume that your soil is dryland and not irrigated. CNKS got it right in saying get with your extension agent. Sounds like you really want to use the plow though. Not much wheat grown in NE KS anymore.
