You guys know what my respose will be as I have posted against any plowing about 10 times on this board. But to make it 11, I's use the generic roundup, here we use BucanneerII, in a couple of weeks. Then drill in winter wheat in Oct.If you can't locate a drill, a medium discing followed by a spreader seeder like a Portaseeder, and then another light disc. Or drag harrow.Those seeds only need to be in there about 1/4 inch. Soil test might be a good idea. Have a feeling with that old alfalfa that you are high on nitrogen and real low on Potassium. Next June you get the wheat, the wheat straw if you want, and then go with sudan for a dought tolerant second crop. Gordo
