Question about rear rim for 400 ?

I bought a used rear single bevel rim,thought to have came off Oliver. Will it work in place of dlb bev rim I have on Farmall 400 ? Next question, I want to put a used 13.6-38 on that Oliver rim but its one inch wider than rims presently on 400. Will mounting on the wider rim damage the tire ? The tire is good except where it spun and cut the lugs. Thanks.
