+Did it do this before? That thermo-syphon system runs hot atthe top, and the bottom will not be hot under normal circunstances. My Cub ahs the same type of cooling system, and I put a thermometer in the top of the rad. to see how hot it got. Went up to 190+ real quick. That's what makes them work, Hot water rises (in the engine)and cool water falls, (in the radiator) If a little steam comes out the top, don't worry about it. One other thing, if you put anti-freeze in it, pre-mix it before pouring it in. If you don't it won't circulate and will overheat. These systems will work good if kept full of colant, but won't if you let the coolant get too low .
