Well there are a few could be here like others have said could be a hub problem but with a quick look you will see that as for the clutch i don't think so could be the spider gears in the carrier could be a broken bull pinion shaft or it vary well could be that ya done and wentr and sheard off the bolts or rivets that hold the ring gear to the carrier as this was once a problem with the 656 and most of them have been repaired or recalled and fixed but you may be the lucky one that get to D.I.Y. And if you do have to get into the rear end just make sure that you mark ALL pices and parts as to just where and what side they came off of and go back the same way as this will help with getting thing back as close to factory as you can with out doing a whole bunch of set up work.
