I bought an 806 Diesel a few years back that the I.H. dealer had told the customer would take 7000 dollars to get the transmission repaires cause it had broken a shaft inside. Well those old 806 and 1206 were about as tough as nails so I drove it on the trailer in forward and eased it off the trailer into the shop and pulled the inspection plate under the left or clutch area and found it had one broken ear off the shifting fork so it would not pull the linkage into reverse. Got one from the salvage yard for 4 bucks and put in and walla walla we now have put 200 hours on the old girl and going strong. I paid 1200 dollars for the tractor at the dealer. Migraine
