I don"t know that the spool is actually broken, I think maybe just the handle controlling it is. However, it looks like the handle has been gone for some time, so by now the spool may well be broken or at least too far gone to repair. I guess I just hate to spend that much when I don"t really need that spool for anything if I can find another way to plumb the loader. Unless of course I"m going to hurt something doing it that way, then I"d just have to bite the bullet! Please forgive my ignorance, but from what I"m gathering the plate that I need to find would be inside the "rails" that the valve itself sits between? If a picture would be easier to describe on, I can take another one. And my loader control valve is open-centered, so I should be in good shape there. Thanks again for your help!
