A properly working magneto is a WONDERFUL thing! No battery!

I don't know about the mags on these tractors but I run my T's primarily on their magnetos and they purr like fiesty little kittens and never miss a lick.

You might want to rebuild it and hae the magnets recharged and coils rewrapped with more insulation. if you fix it up and maintain it, it will last indefinitley.
