Do you know the part # of the Pertronix? This will tell us for sure if it is an original type, or a Ignitor II. Have you set the gap between the magnet wheel and the module... the closer, the better, so long as the parts don't touch and rub. Do you happen to know the make and part # of the coil, and have you ever changed it out?/
