Yes, the area of fluid is the rack adjustment plate. According to my IT manual it's an "earlier" model. Came from the factory with one 1/4" plate and as the manual says, another 1/4" plate was added. It appears, from the outside, that there are four bolts in the corners holding it in place. The picture in the manual leads me to believe that If I pull the bolts and drop the plates I'll get some fluid to come out...Any idea how much Hy-Trans I'll be trying to catch? And after it's all cleaned up and I've had a chance to grab a sandwich, would I be better off using form a gasket between the plates, and housing, or should I take my gasket sheet and cut some. It would seem to me that I don't really want to add thickness to this area. The other thing I was wondering is what is the differnence between one and two plates here. Unless they are stepped inside the case to make the rack tighter, or maybe they are not flat on one side... It's curently a mystery to me, but I'll find out soon what it's all about. Thank you all for the help. Brian Duluth MN
