I have a 1950 Super A that has been converted from 6 volts to a 12 volts. The alternator is a one wire alternator that has one wire that goes from the post marked "to battery" on the back of the alternator to the left side on the amp. meter. To get the alternator to charge you have to rev the engine up to at least 750rmp. Most of the time when you rev it up it will start charging. Then sometimes you get on it and rev. it up all the way, and it won't start charging. I checked all connections, all are clean and tight. If someone knows whats wrong please reply
