rust on back rims

The back rim on my Super A has about 6-8 inches of rust in one spot on the outside of the rim near the valve stem. I want to repair it. I used a pencil grinder and a wire wheel and got the rust off. My problem is the rust had pitted the the rim in a couple of places almost all the way thru. What can I get to put in the rough spots that I can sand down and prime and paint, and where can I get it.
