I have never seen one, so you can take this with a few grains of salt. 340 replaced the 330, which was an temporary tractor based on the 350, produced until the 340 appeared. Could say it also replaced the 350 as the 340 started production in 1958, 350 ended production then. Thus it was made in roughly the same time frame as the 240/460/560, etc. Both 330 and 340 have C135's which is essentially a C123 with a larger bore and stroke. About 35? HP, same HP as the 350, which it definitely isn't. About 4500 lbs. Most IH tractors of that era had power steering, but it may have been an option. I suppose you could consider it a more "modern" tractor than the 00/50 series. It will have more sophisticated hydraulics. 340 utility sold many more than the Farmall version, and is probably more desirable. What's it worth? Dunno, if I was in the market for one, I might pay $3500 for it. Probably no better or worse, as to problems, than any othe IH tractor of that era.

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
