I would use a dremel tool (or =) with a mini cutoff blade in it to remove the bottom of the chrome ring (which grips the body) This allows disassembly. To put it back together I would hot glue the chrome ring in 3 places (with modest amount of glue) then assemble. After placing in the dash I would use Lexcel brand clear acrylic sealer around the chrome to keep water out. Good luck, JimN
