I think you should've used a glaze breaker with plenty of oil. When this is completed wipe out
all of the oil and any fine particles. Then wash each cylinder with warm soapy water using clean rags. Since the bore is so small you may need to push the rags through the cylinders. then dry them and coat them with engine oil.
Those rings may have a dot on them that should face up. It should be in the instructions. My manual has the ring gap on the compression rings at .007 to .017" and oil ring at .007 to.015". Hal
