We have a 1066 that was always had hydraulic problems. At times, the steering, brakes, and clutch would all go out. Recently, the steering has gone out completely. The tractor is strictly a field tractor, and is only found in front of a chisel plow, disk or field cultivator, so we never felt it imperative to really look into fixing an occasional malfunction. We are just plain scared to take it down the road... I know this is a reoccuring subject, but could someone explain the hydraulic system in the 66 series tractors, where the pumps and valves are physically located on the tractor, and a likely solution to the steering not working? Thank you very much.
