Ok, well I looked at it today. It looks like the outer rim, has been rebuild by weld at some point. Almost invisible until you look into the groove where the gasket sits. It looks deeper there. I"m not sure what to do to fix it, I don"t think I can get in ther nad get a clean enough weld to fill it. The old ghasket sealed, but I fumbled with this one for about 30 minute today. Any ideas? I wondered if I could degreade it with carb cleaner and put som sort of RTV into it? But I"m not sure what I would need or if it would work.
