The valve job was done in a long time machine shop, and I even spent a couple of hours watching & talking to the guy that did the work. ANother sympton may be that I cant get my electronical tach to work on this engine, and my cheap Auto-Zone timing light just fires once & awhile. The tach just gives random readings and bounces around the scale. My good old tach gave up the ghost last summer working on my other old H. The old 41 H that I have runs like a sewing machine, and I borrowed the carb & dist. off of it when I started having problems with the 51 H. They didn't help any. ken
