Farmall 300 hydraulic pump on H ??

Hi everybody, The guy that sold me my cockshutt 40 told me that a 300 hydraulic pump will fit on a farmall H to have live hydraulics. Is this true?
If so, what others parts should I need to convert it to live hydraulics. He told me that it will bolt to the distributor bracket.

Also the cockshutt the guy sold me have a 180 loader on it. is the H a good loader tractor? would it lift a full bucket of gravel and keep steering?
