Pete: I think if you give more attention to what scotty and banjo are saying, therein will lie the secret. Those guys have each had one of those apart in the past two years. It's been close to 40 years since I had one apart, thus my memory is not quite as fresh as theirs. I was just telling you what I remembered, and that was the reason I stopped where I did. I have a feeling there is more than one washer on that axle assembly. You may indeed have a washer missing in there next to the bull gear. Just could be the reason why that bolt in end of axle was not excessively tight. You have a consultation with scotty or banjo.
