Hi Bewildered, good news that you can fix the clutch problem. Clutch return spring is very important, they often break and fall off without notice. I think someone has already mentioned to mount pressure plate and clutch on the shafts, then put tractor back together then put bolts in pressure plate/flywheel thru inspection hole. Some people take the starter out so they can use a screw driver into the ring gear to turn engine over to get next set of bolts in flywheel. Good luck JB2
