D Slater, You are stretching the limits of my diesel experience. I have never taken one apart and I can't find a photo of the gear setup. All overhead valve gas models in the letter and 00-50 series have the cam on the right side. All diesels have the cam on the left side. All motors (gas and diesel) have the ignition on the right side. The diesels have an idler to span the distance. This is the best I can do.
