Never had the opportuntity to work on a W9 gas engine. So you are saying it doesn't have a extra idler gear between crank gear and distributor drive? With the distance I always thought they must have. Don't have much information on 9 series, but some of what I can find is showing gas and diesel distributor turning the same direction (they would be different advance and different #) and some shows different. So the reason Im asking questions is to find out for sure.
