Well, yesterday went up to Dad's and he gave us all a tractor. I figured I was going to get a green one as he had 5 of those and only one red one in the lineup to give away. We all drew out of a hat and I got the farmall cub (with mower, cultivator, dozer blade and plow). Lots of memories with it. I remember spending hours on end mowing the waterways, under the electric fences and roadside bar ditches. I even remember the time he come running up in the yard (I was 9-10 yr old) and getting me to come help him set the tractor back upright after he had dropped a rear wheel in a hole and dumped it over on its side. First thing he said is you can't tell momma and worry her and I never did. I asked him yesterday if he had ever told momma and he said no. She passed away a couple years ago! Sure glad to get that tractor but sure is hard to set there and watch him give everything away to the kids. Seems as though he is planning on a quick end and it hurts! I guess that I should be glad that he has made it to 85 yr. old.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
